Choosing a field of study that is not really suited to your interests or skills could prove disastrous. And that's where career counselling comes in. Career counselling helps students discover their true potential and interest in various subjects in order to help them choose the right career.

Think of it this way, if you are right handed you can probably write with your left hand but how does it feel? Uncomfortable? Awkward? That is how you will feel in an environment that goes against your grain. Assessments can be a real time saver because they help capture patterns and motivations. They give you the vocabulary you need to describe your interests, motivators and even the work environment that would be a good fit for you. Career assessments can also be a great tool for self-exploration and understanding even if you have a clear direction in mind.
